In crimes people have been using airsoft guns to fool others into thinking that they are real by painting them and removing the orange flash at the end of the barrel. This is a vital rule because it can cause confusion and can get the user injured or even killed.
There have been cases when police mistake the airsoft gun for a real gun and take it as a threat to everyone and have to use force which usually results in shots being fired. This is where people debate over if it should be treated as a toy or a real gun. People don’t understand that it isn’t the gun that should be focused on; it should be the person who holds it.
