How Much I Know

Airsoft guns have many rules to keep the users safe as well as the people around them. They are important and should not be taken lightly. In crimes people have been using airsoft guns to fool others into thinking that they are real by painting them and removing the orange flash at the end of the barrel. This is a vital rule because it can cause confusion and can get the user injured or even killed.
There have been cases when police mistake the airsoft gun for a real gun and take it as a threat to everyone and have to use force which usually results in shots being fired. This is where people debate over if it should be treated as a toy or a real gun. People don’t understand that it isn’t the gun that should be focused on; it should be the person who holds it. Airsoft can be fun as long as people follow the rules and stay safe. It is a sport that has been growing at a faster rate over paintball.

Reasons for Choosing the Topic

I have been playing airsoft for almost 2 years now; I have never had a bad accident in all the times I have played. It is growing more popular over paintball for its futuristic features. I feel that the rules me and my friends use are sufficient enough to ensure our safety. There has been debate over how airsoft guns should be treated as a real gun or a toy. I personally think that airsoft guns should not be treated as a harmful weapon; more like the wielder should be treated as a threat. The sooner people realize that it is the person’s motives behind the trigger not the gun itself such as: being used to feed someone’s family or used to protect someone. Airsoft guns also give training to people who don’t want to take the risks of using a real gun. Parents even use airsoft guns to teach kids about real gun safety. It is truly not the guns being an endangerment but the person who is not following the rules.
